Safety at every step
With the third long shutdown (LS3) fast approaching, we are entering an intense and complex phase of work. This period is crucial to prepare CERN’s accelerator complex and infrastructure for the HL-LHC era. During such times, it is easy to become focused solely on deadlines and technical challenges. However, we must remember that safety is not just a guideline at CERN; it is a fundamental principle that underpins everything we do. Whatever the challenge overcome, it will only be considered a success if work is carried out safely.
